It is a little late but I got to come babysit my little nephew Hunter. I am so happy to be able to spend some quality time with him. He is such a great little baby and oh so quite. I honestly could just sit here and watch him sleep all night long.
I am not sure if I can pin point just one thing that topped my week. With the little miss under the weather all week we go to spend a little extra time with her and she got an extended winter break. I also got to watch her at cheer and seen her do her back handspring with out help. She simply amazes us on a daily basis. She is so kind, thoughtful and so full of love.
I worked super hard to get things cleaned and decluttered. I love how clean certain !rooms are becoming in our house. Who knew that it was so therapeutic to throw stuff out. Lots of garbage but also lots to donate to others. One mans garbage is another mans treasure.
As sad as it was to say goodbye to the Christmas decorations this year I am happy as that is less clutter lying around.
I am working on making sure that I write one good thing that has happened each week so that as a family come New Years eve we are able to open up this jar of memories to read out loud as we reminisce about a fantastic year.
This week it is a total toss up between watching my nephew and seeing Sydney do her back handspring on the tumble track.
How about you??

Through the year I have learned that I am not always good at keeping resolutions.
So I am taking a different approach this year.
I am going to just set some goals monthly and maybe a few bigger goals for the year.
Goal number 1, for the month of January I am working on decluttering. I have joined #declutterlikeamother and can't wait to see what I can remove from our house. I am looking forward to a fresh start to the year and heck might even make a few $$ along the way.
I plan to make a garbage pile, sell pile and donate pile. It is time to clear the clutter and not going to look back.
Goal number 2, work toward a healthier lifestyle. I have been doing lots of reading on a low carb / keto diet. Both the hubby and I are changing the way we have been eating and look forward to some great results. I will share some of our key receipes as the months go on. We have started with a cleanse and Keto Coffee and so far so good. Learning how to cut out the sugar is going to be a test for me. I am not ready to give up my Pepsi just yet.
Goal number three, to focus on spending more time with family. The kids grow up so quickly. You almost blink and another year is gone.
One of my major goals in 2018 is to clean out the craft room and start to spend more time working on completing albums. We have been married for almost 10 years and still don't have a book to show our special day. Our darling daughter is almost 9 years old and still have not started her book. Scrapbooking has always been a love of mind and I am going to get back at it. Tips and tricks and progress I will share along the way.
Share with me your monthly goals and progress. I would loveand good luck this month. If you want to sign up and join the declutter challenge for this month here is the link.

Happy New Year!!
Hope each and everyone of you had a fabulous Christmas and ready to start off the new year on a positive note. What are you most looking forward to this year?
We had a very nice Christmas and ended our year off in a deep freeze. WOW did it get cold here the last week of 2017. We actually were colder than both the North Pole and South Pole. Loved that we both had time off the week of Christmas
and got to spend it with lots of family.
Rang in the New Year watching our beloved Edmonton Oilers take on the Winnipeg Jets...it was not the way we wanted to see them end the year but the company was great.
I am looking forward to a new year with lots of adventures and many memories.
I can't wait to share with you all our adventures this year.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and love to hear
what you are most looking forward to this year?

Who is ready to practice some math skills!!
Using a deck of cards, players practice their addition and subtraction skills while flicking cards. When two cards land face up, the player who's the first to respond with the correct answer collects the cards. Whoever ends up collecting all of the cards will be declared the winner!
What You Need:
-Deck of playing cards
What You Do:
1. Shuffle the deck of cards and distribute them evenly among the 2 players.
2. Announce that face cards count as 10, and aces are 1.
3. Before flipping a card, the players should decide if the operation they'll perform will be addition or subtraction.
4. Then, they flick a card out in front of them. If it lands face down, he should continue to flick cards until one lands face up. Then the next player flicks cards until a second card is face up.
Once two cards land face up, the first player to solve the equation and give the correct answer aloud wins the cards on the ground.
5. The player who ends up accumulating all of the cards is the winner!
Variation: For a more advanced version of this game, try multiplying the cards.
